A bridge between Afro-descendant families' needs and the opportunities that exist.

Since 2020, The Bridge Co-Net has worked to improve the quality of life of Afro-descendant families in Ottawa. Through community initiatives, the organization creates spaces for meeting, dialogue and support - nurturing family, emotional and social well-being.

A word from our founder

Vanessa Murengera

Founder of The Bridge Co-Net Inc.

« When I arrived in Canada twenty years ago, I faced many integration challenges - mostly due to a lack of information and a limited availability of culturally appropriate resources. Today, through The Bridge Co-Net, we want to offer what was not offered to us, so immigrants in our communities can integrate more quickly and more successfully. »

That is how The Bridge Co-Net was born - a bridge between families' needs and the opportunities that exist, so they can settle, grow and flourish in their new home: Canada.

  • About(Event offered in French Only) Et si mieux connaître les droits de votre enfant vous aidait à mieux l’accompagner?

« Every summer, we see wonderful improvements at the camp, with new activities and lovely surprises for the children. The counsellors were fantastic: always smiling, enthusiastic, and in great spirits. Communication with parents was clear and reassuring throughout the summer. Thank you to the Lead Coordinator and her entire team for their excellent work, dedication, and energy. Thank you for giving our children a summer filled with fun and wonderful memories! We highly recommend this camp and are already looking forward to next summer! »
